Acne
Vulgaris, most commonly known as acne, is the most common
skin problem treated by physicians in United States. In
fact, it is estimated that 17 million people in the United
States suffer from acne, including 85% of adolescents and
young adults.
The
bad news is that there is no complete cure to this problem
(though some come pretty darn close). As a result, acne
commonly may become a source of anxiety and lower self-esteem
in many individuals suffering with this problem. The
good news is that there is a lot known about the causes
of acne, and physicians today can successfully manage acne
in nearly all people.
