today school broke up for summer
i was so happy
me and my friends went to the movies
but on my walk home i felt weird
i got home
my mom was cheerful
as was my dad
then mom asked me to talk with her
and she told me my dad has lung cancer
it's in the middle stages
i dont wanna lose my dad
help please

That sucks.
I hope they are able to remove the cancer and that it hasn't spread.

I was terrified when my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, hopefully they will be able to treat your dad.......don't give up hope, there is always hope. *hugs*

I'm very sorry, Africa. I can't lie to you - the prognosis for lung cancer is not very good - it's one of the harder cancers to treat. I hope you will spend time with your father when you can so you can support each other.

we have just found out that my father-in-law very probably has lung cancer......he is undergoing tests, but it doesn't look good..........just wanted to say, its not my dad, but i can sympathise with what you are going through.
