I've just read the articles about the symptoms of cancer. I've had a lump on my left testicle for a while now, it's elevated and I'm too ashamed to visit a doctor. I just want to know your opinion on this. Do you think it might be cancer?? I hope not. Please help me on this!

how can you be too ashamed to visit the doctors, hon, is your life worth putting at risk just cos you might be slightly embarrassed - no it isn't. Doctors see mens testicles etc, i would imagine on a weekly basis, so yours are not going to be all that different to anyone elses.........to a doctor its a job, they don't judge. If you are worried enough to have looked up symptoms online, then you know you should go to the doctors. Life is precious, don't waste it cos you might be a little embarrassed...........make an appointment, and let us know how you get on.

The problem is that the lump isn't black like the pictures show. It's,ummmm,kinda white. I don't really think it's cancer, but I just want your opinion.

You're saying you have a lump on the skin, and you're concerned about skin cancer? Why would you be ashamed to show a doctor something on your skin?

I don't know, it's just that I don't want to go there for the doctor to just tell me it's normal, that it's just veins or something.

a lump is a lump no matter what color it is, and it STILL isn't worth risking...........as for not wanting to go and have the doc tell you its nothing, why do you think he will laugh at you or think you were stupid for taking up his time - i think if doctors think anyone is stupid its the people who don't get checked and end up dying when they could have been saved..........none of us are doctors here, so i don't really know what you expect people to say, except get it checked out.

Hmmmm. OK, I think I will go to the doctr. But it's not that big of a lump. It's just a small flesh-colored lump that was once kinda white.
