There is a girl that I work with.... Who I think is the most amazing person I have ever met. She and I have become close friends over the past year and I have felt my feelings toward her to become more than "just friends" material. A problem... as far as I am aware she is absolutely strait, even though we flirt.. it is usually harmless butt smacking and wolf whistles.. I wish that it were more and I would love to ask her on a date an d all... but I am afraid that if I go about it then she could be offended.. and I don't want to ruin our friendship. Someone told me to just wait it out and see what happens.. maybe she will ask me about it.. but I am not so sure.. any comments would be appreciated.

Hmmm... this is a toughie, but I think it would be best to move on. One of the last things you need is stress in the workplace. And if things go bad, it will inevitably be steered in that direction.
I don't know about you, but my work is something that helps me get away from my "home world". If you have stress in your "work world", then you may find yourself dreading one or the other or even both.

I don't think that Men can be friends with women generally, its just a shield of the truth - you want her.
So grow some balls, don't tell her you like her, if you can flirt with her getting her shouldan't be too tough. If you go out with her somewhere like with a group of friends or summit then look for a situation where u can just talk to her by yourselves ie, you goto the bar for drinks together.
Get her laughing and after making her laugh, preferabally in a cool way, make a move on her.
Just don't be a pussy, i mean if you were a woman would you find a bloke who hasn't even got the balls to ask her a question?

But I do see what you are getting at.
wesexinfo I see what you mean about stress in the workplace. We also hang out outside of work as well though. I dunno I am have never been one to be taken so quickly with anyone.. especially another woman. I do thank you two for your coments though. They have given a few things to ponder about.
