My father-in-law has lung cancer, at the beginning of the year he seemed to be in and out of hospital more and more, and for longer - which was why the last time i was here, i was highly emotional and stressed - anyway, what i was asking is, does anyone know how lung cancer 'behaves' is this normal, like now he hasn't been in hospital for a month or so, his drugs have been changed and he seems a little better..........i can't really find any info on this.........any information would be great, thanks in advance.

Get an ultrasonic nebulizer, and start nebulizing with AQUASILVER.
You can get it from TRUEIONICS

I remember you telling me about all this. Glad to hear he's doing a little better. I wish I had more info to share or provide you with. I'll keep positive thoughts your way sweetie.

Only thing I can say is that if they have exhausted all medical ways to help him, might not be a bad idea to look into natural remedies and such.

*BIG hugs*

I'm sorry your father-in-law is going through this struggle. I don't know a whole lot abou this. SteveA would be jumping all over vambo right now. People with serious or terminal illnesses often grasp at straws for cures. I just wanted to say that you need to beware of anyone making "claims" with natural remedies.

Cancer can be difficult to predict - it varies from individual to individual. Lung cancer is a slow-growing one, but it is particularly hard to treat, and the long-term prognosis isn't good.

We fully expect this to kill him, he had lung problems before this..........I just wondered if we were in the lull before the storm, so to speak.

sdp: Thanks, and I am definitly sceptical about herbal stuff for something as serious as cancer.

Thanks guys.

Sorry to hear about him hun it must be very hard for you. I can't offer much advice really but I did work on a ward which had a few patients with lung cancer and each patient was different to a degree. The Doctors can fiddle around with different medications and when they find one that suits the indiviual patient they often have quite a good period of well being although still poorly they can often remain out of hospital for quite long periods at a time. I can't comment on your pop in law but you say he has had his meds changed so hopefully he will continue to be out of hospital for a while.
I have found that the rate the disease progressess varies immensley. WHilst I can't offer any medical advice I only know what I have seen and really I would say it is difficult to say but to enjoy this time babe and take each day as it comes and I really wish you all the best and send you a big hug.xx

Angel,
You and your family are in our prayers. Times like this are never easy and are often painful. It’s never easy no matter how prepared you think you are. Hopefully you guys live close enough for everyone to spend quality time with him before…… Well until he stops suffering.

Give the Manthing a great big squeeze for me and let him know how sorry we are. He won't be loosing a farther; he'll be gaining a guardian. Cherish each day of his days to its fullest. You’ll have a lot of memories to fall back on when you’re sad.

Thats really beautiful hon.

He's responding well, surprisingly, to the new treatment, tho the heat from the summer is making his breathing harder, hes on 24 hr oxygen now, but hes doing better than he was.

Hi, Angel.

Obviously I've come to this thread late, but I'm wondering how he's doing? I've lost a couple people I care about to cancer and I know it's never an easy thing. I wish you and yours the very best! If it matters, I will say a prayer!
