This is always an embarassing subject to talk about, but I have some questions and would like some answers.
When I defecate, I often poop small turds. Usually 3 or 4 inches long and 1 inch (or less) across. I'm a 19 year old male. I don't eat a whole lot (light breakfast, medium lunch, medium dinner, snacks throughout the day) but I occasionally pig out at family get togethers and holidays.
I remember when I was younger, my poops were a lot bigger. My diet hasn't changed at all...
So what's happening? Is my colon narrower?
I became worried when I accidentally saw my GFs stools. She forgot to flush. They were pretty big (maybe like 10 inches long and 2.5 inches across). She's a petite girl so I'm wondering what's wrong with me.
I'll be grateful if anyone can shed some light on this subject.

Oh, I would like to add something else.
I usually poop 8 or more of these small turds. Afterwards, I feel completely empty. I don't feel bloated. My appetite never changes (unless I'm stressed).
Basically, I'm active and I feel fine.

This should have been in the Bowel forum, but not to worry.
In the intestines the faeces are continuous, and turds are formed by your anus pinching them off. Perhaps yours is just particularly active.
Turds also tend to be smaller if they are harder. You might find that if you have more fibre and water in your diet, they get bigger.

Thanks for your response.
I take fiber supplements (they're capsules and are both soluble and insoluble fiber) and the turds are usually very easy to pass.
Like I said, I don't feel sick so I'm guessing everything is fine. I just got a little worried.
