hi everyone, as some of you might know I used to suffer from phimosis and got the dorsal slit operation here in the UK. A few months after the op had healed and after a bitve stretching and easing over the head in the bath i now have a fully retractable foreskin. in terms of looks , which i know has a big question mark over it, when erect it looks completely normal, and when flaccid, it simply has a bit of a slit down the front of the foreskin, that just looks like a bigger (phimotic?) ring of an uncircumsized penis.
erections have also improved as now i do not has skin retracting the growth (my foreskin only came 1/4 of the way down so head would swell then deflate somewhat) so it now appears larger and healthier when erect.
I still have a bitve trouble with the sensitivity of the head but nowheere near as bad as before the op.
any questions about this procedure feel free to ask me
samuel

it just rolls back in the same way an uncircumsized penis does, basically all that happens is the hole, or ring is englarged with a slight slit at the front to make it easier to roll back, it doesnt really leave flaps, think like a v neck jumper, only more rounded.

You make this dorsal slit procedure seem quite an acceptable idea, and it seems to be working perfectly fine for you
however all the images ive seen after googling it have looked absolutely ghastly, horrific and terrifys me.
Does your penis look like the images on google?

yeh i looked up such dodgey images before i had it, hey im not saying you should have it, i'm just saying for me, someone who really didnt want to lose my foreskin, it has worked well. mine does not look as dodgey as the images i've seen, but what does it matter when it comes back when it matters erect. i get the impression some of the internet pics are on older people (im just 20) or maybe didnt have a great surgeon, or maybe my phimosis wasnt as bad as i had thought, because my slit was only about 1/2 an inch and has since created more of a circular shape, rather than a circle with a triangle cut out. hope this makes sense

yeh they do look a bit strange in a few, but the way i looked at it was, i dont want to lose my foreskin, so I could try this and see how it turns out, if it is bad, I can always get the full circumsicion afterwards.

I would of needed a much longer slit to make it thru my phimosis which is one reason I chose circumcision.

Hi, i had an Dorsal Slit done yesterday in the hospital, right now it is stitched up. I want to know, will the foreskin go back inside? Right now the inner side of the foreskin is showing.

oh and the females ive dated really like my penis, my girlfriend thinks its 'beautiful' lol...
admittedly ive come to realise my tightness wasnt as severe as many cases so the incisision wasnt much more than a cm, possibly less
once its erect and rolled back looks 100% normal anyway and thats when it counts right!, flaccid it just looks normal too so dont be put off by initial photographs, it heals just fine in a few short weeks
DONT LET THIS PROBLEM EAT YOU UP- go to your GP immediately and look into solutions

If anyone is thinking of getting the dorsal slit done, I would strongly advise them not to. I had it done a few years ago. This was before the internet, so I couldn't research it, - plus I wasn't even told there were any other options available. I thought that a circumcision is a circumcision.
How wrong can you be? It's a disaster. This procedure is only meant to be performed on the elderly, or on people who would face greater risk by having a normal/proper circumcision, because the cosmetic results are so bad.
