Mum also told me that i started getting pimples earlier then most. Everyday at school everyone has such clean faces and mine is all pimpy and i am getting really embarrassed. There r like 2 other girls that have pimples but there faces are just distroyed... I feel soo ew... I really want to be liked and to have the looks to be popular.

Pimples at your age are to be expected and have to do with hormones as much as anything else. Cleansing properly morning and night will help a lot, but won't stop pimples alltogether - and don't worry your peers at school will get them too, its part of being the age you are.

As for periods, don't sweat it honey, you can worry and panic etc and it will come at the time you least expect anyway LOL so try not to panic, keep a pad on you or in your bag - thats about all you can do to be honest.

At this time not too many people are on so you may have to wait a while. You're probably lucky that you're getting your acne breakout so early. When you're in your later teens and hopefully acne free you'll be glad you got it out of the way.

Go to your doctor, there are medications to get rid of acne.

>I use a cleanser everyday

I hope you are also using a moisterizer, too? Even if your face is oily and greasy, you still need to use a moisterizer afterwards, just one with a non-shine formula. And your acne won't disappear overnight, it's going to gradually lessen.

You can look into different things for this. Proactiv is a great product. You may want to look into it. Talk to your parents about setting up a dermatoligist for you. And whenever you do have your period, birth control can help acne.

It's still considered acne. But that's good that you've come to terms with it. Research how to take care of your skin properly when you have pimples so that way you won't have to worry about scarring.

Well I got two suggestions first try proactiv, trust me that thing did miracles on my face clean me up almost completly I only get a little bit anymore. If that doesn't work than try going dermatologist they will get something stronger for you that will help a lot more.

Well, I can personally vouch for the proactiv product. It worked very well for me. I still use it and my acne is not nearly as bad as it used to be.

I use mine twice a day as well. But it depends on your skin sensitivity.

Roc showed me this:

www.acne.org

It worked for me, only thing really, not even prescriptions worked for me. I highly suggest you do it. Don't knock off the routine on this though, I'm serious, if you procrastinate then it won't work. It's up to you really.

I'm not sure how reliable their info is, but what they say about the relationship between diet and acne (basically, none) is interesting.

Oh it works man, plus it sounds like she just has some small acne, it shouldn't be that bad. The treatment should clear up her skin in 3 weeks or so is my guess.

Angel, there are 3 things you need to achieve clearer skin. The first is a mild cleanser. Make sure the first ingredient on it it Benzoyl Peroxide. The next step is a toner, used to open up your pores. And the last step is to use a lotion with Benzoyl Peroxide. The lotion is absorbed into your open pores (thanks toner!) and the Peroxide is set to work! This is basically what the Proactiv system consists of. As long as you can find these 3 items at your local store, you'll have clearer skin in no time, at a fraction of the cost of buying the proactiv kit! Let us know how it works!

your pimples are a wonderful part of puberty (fun, i know) but they will eventually go away.
try not to cake on layers of make-up to hide them. this doesnt work and looks sssooo much worse. cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day and use an appropiate mositure (oily for dry sking, non-oily for oily skin, etc)
use a facial wash aswell, i dont know if they sell if where u live but its nutrogean visably clear 2-in-1 facial wash.
i have v sensitve skin and things like 'clean & clear' and 'clearasil' just broke me out in spots but it depends on yr skin i suppose. but anyways, this visably clear suff is good, you should try it ( im starting to sound like a salesperson! lol)

you should worry about being popular, i dont know if there's any point in even telling you this but as long as you have a close friend, who you could tell anything to and would do anything for you, u dont need popularity.

1= dont cake on make-up
2= cleanse, tone and moisturise twice daily
3= get a good moisturiser
4= get a face wash
try not to worry about being popular

and if u have scars from squeezing them, u should use 'arnica'. it gets rid of scars, bruises, etc.

hope all this info is use to you sweetie and hope i dont sound like an old woman nagging @ you!

Hi there.. Just wanted to mention.. That if your face is really red and sore... Maybe from giving it a hard time I have some things that helped me along the way.

1. Get rid of or cover up mirrors in the house that have a bad lighting. Try not to focus on it as much as possible.

2. Drink pleanty of water. and make sure you are getting enough Vitamin C, E and Zink in your diet. Get a good multivitamin!

3. Use Zinc cream on your face. Quite thickly if you need to. Get one with a really high Zinc concentration (can find these things in baby products relatively cheeply)... And even though is'a a bit sticky and even oily feeling it will actually "cool down the skin and you will notice redness reduces.

4. If you have to squeeze pimples use a clean tissue with a bit of antisceptic on it so that your not just opening your skin up to more proplems and bigger scars.

Lots of love to you. Hope this helps.
