Is every inflamed pimple near the anus something dangerous?
In the last few weeks I have had a few pimples down there which were pretty sensitive and inflamed just like normal pimples.
They went away after a while but I'm a bit concerned because I have never had pimples in this area....
Are there also harmless pimples down there or is every pimple there something dangerous like an abscess? Where is the difference between a pimple and an abscess? Does this mean that every time I discover a pimple down there I have to go to the doc and show him my anus? I hope not....

An abscess is a large deep infection.

If the pimples were just on the skin near the anus they were probably just normal pimples, albeit in an unfortunate place.

Hi!
But I read that around the anus there are certain glands which seem to always cause on abscess if they ever get inflamed. I wonder if this is correct because this sounds like if you get something down there then it's always something serious.

try switching to anti-bacterial dial soap.... the doc told me that would prevent future out breaks. and anything down there by the anus can be serious...the key words are "can be", not to say that it is. if it becomes and abscess it could be come quite uncomfortable.
