Okay, I got a question about hemorrhoid ointments.
Please forgive my partial knowledge of English.
About 2 months ago, I found out that I have hemorrhoids (blood on toilet paper, bags of skin starting to itch).
I'm totally sure it is hem. After a bit it started to itch uncontrollably, so I bought a hemorrhoid cream called "Procto - Synalar N", which I 'm pretty sure is very much like preparation H.
The thing is, the girl at the pharmacy gave it to me although I had no medical prescription and the cream says on it "Given with Medical Prescription ". Anyway, before I first applied the cream, I read the instructions and it said "To be used 2-3 times daily for no more than 2 weeks. If used for more than that, the symptoms may become worse".
I used the cream 3 times for 1.5 weeks and it got a lot better (the 'rrhoids almost vanished), so after that I stopped using it.
However, after 4 weeks, blood started reappearing on the toilet paper, so I found out that the hemorrhoids reappeared. Again I started using the cream for a week this time and 2 times a day, and 2 days later everything was normal again. About 1-1.5 week later the hemorrhoids disappeared once more.
So the thing is: should I quit using the cream or should I continue living my life using the cream only when blood appears or when my hemorrhoids flare up and until they are gone (even temporarily)? Maybe I should start using another cream like Preparation-H?

If your hemorrhoids are such a recurring issue, perhaps you should visit a doctor.

Thanks. I 'll think about it. They are indeed a recurring issue. Maybe an operation would give an end to all this fuss.

Possibly, but there are also less invasive ways to treat them. You need to discuss it with your doctor.
