Everyone's all happy and jolly and wtf not...
No. In reality, Christmas sux. It's the most depressing time of the year. Many people don't realize this because no one associates depression with Christmas (everyone's happy right? Wrong.)
Now... I just had to sit through fucking church (started at 11pm) because my parents forced me too.... boring and (imo) full of bullshit. Afterwards, everyone wishing each other Merry Christmas. Some random guy who I've never seen said Merry Christmas to me as he walked by... I replied with a "Fuck You" and walked off.
Why does Christmas suck? Well, why should I (and millions of other people as well) be happy?
1) Because we have nobody? No.
2) Because we see everyone else be happy and we have no reason to be happy? No.
3) Because Christmas is all about present? .. What? Presents? Never seen one
4) Spend time with the family? I would rather die than do that
5) At least be happy about snow..! It was 61 degree Farenheit today, what snow?
6) Oh, but don't you get a day off? Yeah, great. Too bad I like my job and would rather work.
7) But Christ was born! Fuck Christ.
The list goes on... so I ask you:
Why the fuck should I be happy on this joyous today?
Sorry about all the cursing, but I'm just so fucking happy it's christmas!

Despite your problems I'd ask you not to attack someone elses religion. That is just a can of worms no one needs to open.
Secondly, you're not required to celebrate Christmas, nor to be Christian. If that is how you feel, then stick to your guns, and DON'T go to your parents' church.
Lastly...don't feel free to tell someone to fuck off just because they aren't as misrable as you. Regardless of religion, he didn't do anything to you.
I'm sure you'll respond with some snappy, insulting comment; please don't bother.
In closing: Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Tet Nguyen Dan (A Little early), belated Bodhi day, Eid al-Adha, Kwanzaa, and Festivus for the rest of us!

So Christmas is the only day people are happy that they can walk and breathe?
And that's some BS ... you could say anyone who's feeling "Hey, you have two eyes" or if that's not the case "Hey, you can breathe" and if they can't breathe by themselves you could say "Hey, be happy you have a brain"

I never mentioned my religion, nor did I back it. I'd be just as pissed for you saying "Fuck Jesus" as if you said "Fuck Mohammad, Allah, Jehovah, or Athesim (among others)"
You don't have to be part of one religion; that's fine; just don't go around attacking people because of what they believe.

Hardly, you can be happy everyday if you want to. Being happy and spreading joy has jack-shit to do with religion. You were an asshole to a guy who literally meant you no harm to you.
You don't like religions or Christmas (which, outside of Church, has NOTHING to do with Christ) That's fine; but don't go around pissing on other people who don't deserve it.

When someone tells me to fuck off, it makes feel miserable. To the man who wished you Merry Christmas, what right do you have to make him feel miserable? What right do you have to make anyone feel miserable?
Just because you're not happy is no reason why everyone else should be all sad, mopy, and rebelious just like you.
I'm not Christian, I don't believe in God, Christ, Satan, etc. I still celebrate Christmas though. I still think it's happy and jolly and full of joy :). Everyone is happy and full of spirit. You can be happy with them. You don't have to be happy for the same reason. I find that just the fact that everyone else is happy is perfect reason for me to be too. Seeing other people happy makes me happy. Just like seeing other's in pain hurts me inside.

Yeah, InSearch has left this forum so I doubt he'll be reading your comment. He left before the creation of the new forum so even if he decides to come back (which he will, he always does) he may have a bit of trouble trying to find it.
