is the frenulum in uncut guys kind of like that membrane under your tongue that connects it to the bottom of your mouth? i know what it looks like in cut guys but have never seen it in uncut guys.

Well I discovered the problem isn't that the frenulum is too short, it's that my "inner" foreskin is really tight! Any way I can make this any more loose so that I can travel south down to the shaft?
Once my foreskin goes over the head, the inner foreskin can't move at all, as if God has used superglue on me or something..

Hey lance,
Just wondering if you could answer my question further up on this page, and also, is there a diagram or picture of a penis when the foreskin is fully retracted? Once my foreskin goes over my head I can't go down any further as it's like stuck. I've read through the forums and realised that I should be able to go all the way down to the shaft! Any way to loosen the inner foreskin?

Hey bud, you can stretch that foreskin so that it will move freely up and down the shaft of your penis. It shouldn't matter whether it is the "inner" skin or the entire foreskin it can be stretched. The same is true for the frenulum, that tiny piece of skin that holds the foreskin to your penis. Heres how I'd suggest doing that. Take warm/hot soaking baths or showers and start by pulling your foreskin out over the head of your penis. Gently use a finger and by making circular motions with the opening of your foreskin, enlarge it or stretch it so that it opens further each time. Be patient and consistent, working like this each day for a few days to a week or so, you'll begin to see progress. Each of us is different though so it may take longer for you to enlarge it enough so that it moves easier. Once you've got the opening a bit larger, then start working it up and down the shaft...the larger opening should allow for the foreskin to slip right over the head and onto the shaft. You can then work at stretching your foreskin down the shaft. Using the same hot/warm bath just stretch the foreskin out as far as you can without pain and then as far down the shaft as you can. In time, you'll be able to fully retract your foreskin down the shaft and when erect your penis will resemble one that isn't cut. Of course, foreskins come in all sizes and lengths just like penises do so it may take weeks or even months for this to happen. As you're doing this you will also be stretching the frenulum as well..be careful not to tear it...hurts like heck and makes masturbation or anything sexual painful until it heals. Also be aware that the head of your penis is going to be super sensitive for a while....its been covered and not subjected to stimulation. In time it will be less sensitive and will provide you great pleasure! Hope this helps!

I think this might be the right thread to post to so here goes. I'm 28 years old and have been regularly masturbating since I was about 15 and my foreskin is intact. Despite my great age I had not had sex until last week since I've only recently met someone I consider special - this has never been a problem, I've always been very relaxed about it and never seen my virginity as a burden.
Anyway, during an early sexual encounter my girlfriend pulled my foreskin down (whilst I had my eyes closed) without knowing what she was doing - generally it felt good! I was pretty shocked when she moved back up to me and I looked down and saw what she'd done - I immediately reached down and forced my foreskin back to were it's always been. Last week we had sex for the first time and I at no point felt like I was going to ejaculate - after the moment had reached it's end and I pulled out I was again shocked to see the foreskin pulled back - this time it was behind the head of my penis and I did not touch it, a little later she used her hand on me for sometime and I at no point felt close to ejaculating and at times it felt very painful (especially underneath - what I now presume after reading here is the frenulum), on some downstrokes it felt very uncomfortable.
After we'd gone our ways I returned to my penis and could not get the foreskin back until my penis had gone placcid again and then I had to really stretch it out and up with some force. A couple of nights ago she again retracted the foreskin and again used her hand with no orgasm effect and at times with pain. This time after we parted I tried to get an erection to masturbate myself - the head was large but I couldn't get the shaft very stiff at all - however I carried on and after some effort had an extremely painful orgasm and thought the head of my penis was going to explode - after a little while my penis shrunk and I was able to return the foreskin.
And so I got on the internet and found this site! So after all that: am I in the same situation with regard to my sex organs as a lot of other people? I'm very concerned and nervous about how tight and sore the frenulum gets and how tight the foreskin is under the head of my penis - also the fact that it's so hard to ejaculate and on the occasion that I did that it was so painful.

I think that you will find in time that it will get less and less painful, and more enjoyable. It sounds as if the nerve endings aren't use to being exposed and therefore are very sensitive. Keep practicing alone pulling it back.

Keep up the stretching. Generally it's going to take some time to comforatably pull the foreskin back. The fact that you are able to get it back now when erect is a very good thing. Some guys can't even get it back when flaccid. Most guys would/should start retracting in their early teens during puberty so you have about 14 yrs of catch up to do, but you're pretty much already there. I know how you feel when you first saw it retracted. I remember as a young teen as I started pulling back out of curiosity, that I was afraid that my penis would pop out or something like that. But little by little I found out that it wasn't going anywhere. Keep pulling back especially when erect and you'll have it stretched out properly. Come back and ask any questions if you like.

If you have a bad case of phimosis(tight foreskin), perhaps a trip to the doctor is warrented. You should ask the doctor about getting a steroid creme like betamethasone. This can help the stretching preocedure. You say you've been doing this for 3 months with no results. What exactly is your technique, time etc...

Until I came to this site I didn't know your foreskin normally slides right back behind the head. I am suspicious of much medical advice and I think that those who have foreskins like me should leave them as nature intended. I am totally against circumsision by so called experts who make their living from it. We all have different features and unless something is giving you pain then leave it alone. Sorry but thats my opinion.

no one ever told me the skin was supposed to roll back but i had a bad habbit of sneaking porn magazines from my uncle when i was younger and i guess im weird but i never saw women as having cooties and shit of that nature and having watched porn i noticed that all of the guys didn't have a hood or it was pulled back and i thought hmmmm and then i started trying to pull the skin back as often as possible but at first i did it in a bath tub under water then just anywhere but the exposure to air hurt and i eventually got used to that and started pulling at back everytime i went to piss and then after like a year of that i tried jerking it and actually touching the head which required great amounts of vaseline to brave up and touch it and it hurt at first but after a couple of strokes i was like omfg and next thing i know i lose my virginity at 12 lol

Ive think i have got a serious problom. my foreskin has shrunk above the tip of my penis to where i can not fit it over the tip.  i have not seen the tip of my penis since this has happened. My foreskin has a very bad odor since i have not been able to clean it for months. any help!!!!!

If you previously were able to retract and clean and now it is tight, there is obviously some problem. Signs are that you have some sort of infection going on here. The odor can be not only from accumulated smegma but also the infection. I would recommend soaking in a hot hot bath for a while and see if you can retract it somewhat to see what's going on. Is it red, painful, itchy, etc... Secondly, go to a doctor and have him take a look at it. The doc may recommend circumcision, but if he does, he's not doing his job. He needs to find out what the cause is first.

yeah i had all the way up till i was almost 14, then it slowly started to shrink, and it got harder for it to fit over the head, and now the skin that is usually about the size of a nickle, to fit over the tip,is shrunk to about the diamter of a pea. its horrible

I'm having trouble understanding your question.
If you're asking about the forskin on the bottom, where the frenulum is, whether it goes back as far as the skin on the top , then I would say no. The frenulum holds it from going all the way.

The purpose of the Frenulum is to keep the foreskin from going all the way back. My frenlum tore during sex so I don't have a frenulum. This happens fairly often. It was painless, there was some blood and it was sore for a few days.
For some that might know what a frenulum looks like.

Hey, i'm 16 and 'uncut' and i dont remember a time when i've ever had problem's getting the foreskin back around the head, is this normal also? I've been reading this section, and wondering now if i'm not the normal one, because i've not had problems 
On a Side note, since i'm only 16 i've only been around a few girl's that have come in contact with my penis, how hard is it for a 'uncut' guy to get around out there, like to girls further down the road find this as some kind of weird thing?

During intercourse or oral the foreskin should be pulled back exposing the head. During hand jobs the head is in general too sensitive for direct contact unless there is ample lubrication. If she is hiving you a hand job, she should let the foreskin glide back and forth over the head. However since you say the forskin is a bit too tight, you have homework to do and that is to get it stretched out. Actually, your GF can even help you out with it.

You are doing it correctly. The head of the penis should be fully exposed when you retract the foreskin. Pull back to the point where it is uncomforatble and hold it there for a while, then repeat. Do this as often as you can.

first of all, i need to do some streching because im kinda tite. Second of all why do i need to do some streching? Sorry if someones mentioned before but why does the skin need to go behind the head?

Why does it need to be retractable?
#1 for cleaning.
#2 because all the sensation is underneath the foreskin.
#3 because the forskin does get pushed back during sex. If it is too tight and is forcefully pushed back, it can get stuck behind the head and you can also tear the frenulum.
Why isn't it taught? because the idiotic circumcised majority doesn't give a shit.
