Strange question I guess: How long can a woman produce milk?
Background to that question: I got a porn-spam-email of a German female pornstar with enormous J-sized breasts, and she is advertising a DVD with some kind of "milking-show".
And then every other year they do stories in the news of strange women still breastfeeding their adult sons.

So: How long can a woman produce milk if the demand is kept up? Could this go on for like 20 years?

as long as the woman continues to breast feed she will continue to produce milk

What happens if she stops for a while, then starts again much later in life?

One generally can't "restart" unless she has another child. There are certain hormones required to start the milk production process.

Some women can get started again by just the stimulation of having their nipples sucked. That allows you to be a wet nurse, which used to be an important occupation before bottle feeding was invented.

Yes but after how long of a break? I would imagine that after a certain period it would be near impossible to get it going again.

Once your milk ducts have "dried up" you need the right hormones to start them up again. I think for most it's 2wks to a month for it to go away.
