How does the problem manifest itself? When you click on reply, does the reply page come up? If it does, can you type in the box?
I sometimes find a bug where I can't type in the box. Usually, if I copy some text into the clipboard and then paste it into the box with Ctrl-V, that clears the problem and I can then type.

I can type in the box, my whole big long editing post, and when I hit reply, i get nothing. i hit it again, and it says "you've hit it once, knock it off" basically, so I copy the message, refresh, try it again, get frustrated, try it on firefox, get more frustrated, restart my comp, then PM it to him cause I can't reply  This is the second thread its happened to.

I'm out of ideas.  There aren't any levers at this end that seem to be wrong. I can only guess it was a chance network issue at your end. See if it continues tomorrow.
