Which is better--local anesthetic or being put completely under?
The frenulum--better to keep or remove?

I don't think you should go completely under for a circumcision as going under is always a risk. Is that an option th edoctor gave you?

I don't think theres any reason for general anesthesia for circumcision.
As far as the frenulum, I think its different for every guy. some say absolutely cut it since its job is to pull the foreskin foreward. others get a lot of pleasure from that area. a short frenulum was part of my problem, as well as phimosis, and so I got mine removed which turned out fine with me. thank God, but it was the worst part of the operation. not painful but rather uncomfortable even with all the shots.

Yes, I have the option of general, insurance will pay for it, but if I want it it will take several weeks to get an appointment. If I have a local they can do the circumcision at their on site faciility.
