I have used 1-4 grams, daily, for the last 4-5 years. I want to join the military now, but I am experiencing trouble not using cannabis. I always use top of the line cannabis.
I can go without cannabis if I'm on vacation or traveling. But, if I'm "home", it feels like I have to use cannabis.
I work out. Jog, treadmill, and weights. Basically training for the military. I also play video games. Thats all I do, other then odd jobs.
What could I do to stop using cannabis, without any issues?

If it was that easy, I believe I would have done it already.
I'm seeking real advice please.

Luckily with cannabis, any sort of addiction is purely habit so it can be overcome with some simple tricks.
A popular one is the pinching technique. Every time you want a smoke just give yourself a nice hard pinch (or something that's painful). Over time your mind will associate the two. Its still gonna take some effort but it makes it easier to avoid getting back into the habit.

You could also try hypnosis but that's a last resort, of course you MIGHT want to tell him that your 'issue' is with smoking; i don't know what his/her reaction might be to cannibis.

Hypnosis shouldn't be a last resort, it can be a first, its highly effective (I study hypnosis). And a hypnotist, like a doctor, won't care if you smoke tobacco or cannabis. They have no obligation to inform the authorities, they are still able to do their job and the person is trying to quit anyway. As long as you don't go to them while high then there wouldn't be a problem.

And excuse me for being a TOTAL NOOB to the topic, but what exactly is Cannabis?

"Cannabis" is Latin for "hemp". Botanically it is used for the genus of which the species Cannabis sativa is the common hemp plant, used for making hemp fibre for ropes, hard-wearing clothing, and hard-wearing paper (e.g. for paper money). One variant of Cannabis sativa, often called Cannabis sativa indica and sometimes considered a variety and sometimes a subspecies, traditionally called Indian Hemp, has developed a resinous secretion whose main purpose seems to be to reduce water loss and make the plant more drought-tolerant, and this resin contains the psychoactive compounds.
The use of the genus name to indicate a particular subspecies is technically not good, though it has become very common.

Sensimilla, Weed, Lamb's Bread, Herb, Smoke, Chronic, Yerba, Mary Jane, Da Kind, are SOME names I've heard.
Then there are strain names that have endless variations. Some examples are White Widow, Catpiss, Granddaddy Purps, Sugar Shack, Jedi, Hindu Kush, OG Kush, Afghani, it really goes on and on. I'm just bored.
Oh BTW Ineligible, Sativa and Indica are two seperate species. There's a third one I can't remember.

I still yet to stop using cannabis. I'm going to try it all again, starting tomorrow. I just have a question. If a certain environment, such as a place of employment seems to, in a way, hamper your progress, would it be wise to leave said employment and wait to gain better employment, cannabis free? (Better jobs usually conduct drug testing and with the abstinence of THC, it should not be an issue) Its a shitty job anyways. If I'm not using cannabis, I would be able to survive just fine for a month or so while I gained another form of, hopefully a lot better, employment. Any thoughts on that?
With that said, say I do complete my goal tomorrow and abstain. Are any of the products on the market for substance screening masking work? I hope to not have to take a test for a week or two, but none the less, I don't want to lose a great opportunity because of what I just stopped using. If I kept using and failed, I could understand, but I plan to not be using anymore.

I can answer your first question. YES.
I can't answer your second, nor can I tell if it would affect my opinion on the first question. I know nothing of jobs or employment.

Urine tests for cannabis take weeks to become clear. It depends on the person, but for a third of people it is over four weeks.
