Damn, possible ingrown hair near the butthole

I have been having something like a "pimple" on the one cheek near the tailbone. It has the size of a pinhead and I have been watching it for a few weeks now and thought it would go away but it didn't.
Today I checked it out in the mirror and I saw a small dark dot where it's at and thought it might be an ingrown hair and then tried to pop it but it did not work. It only started to bleed a bit but I couldn't pop anything and also not get a hair out of it. Usually when you have an ingrown hair and then pop it the hair comes out but not this time. Now the area is thicker due to me manipulating it. 
Do you think this could be an ingrown hair? Can you have an ingrown hair which grows into the opposite direction under the skin and it grows and grows and grows and you don't even notice it? This is some scary shit! Just think about this.

Sit in a tub of epsom salts, every day, 15 to 20 mins. Give it a week or 2. It will usually go away that way. Doesn't have to be deep, just enough to "hit the spot".
