Every time I come to these forums, I get a popup. Usually, it's some sort of thing about 'your' old schools (with stuff like "She's a supermodel?" or something along those lines). I have popups blocked (I use Safari) and every other site the popups are blocked. It just gets annoying that I have to close them every time.

There is an entire sticky thread on this topic in the Community Forum.

It doesn't mention Safari at all. And to clarify, just in case, it's not the popups from the underlined text, which have disappeared for me mysteriously (maybe because of the new version of Safari). I'd looked at that topic already. I'll try to fiddle with it tomorrow, too, and post the results here for anything that works, so that it can be added into that post.

I have that same problem with that same pop-up on this site only. No matter what I do it still gets through, even with pop-up controls blocking pop-ups and my firewall set to block that specific site (tribalfusion.com).

That's weird. I never get pop-ups when I come to this site, no matter what computer I use. I usually am using Firefox for macs though. The pop-up blocker doesn't even say it blocked a pop-up for me, it's just that there weren't any, you know.

I use Opera and never get a pop-up from this site. Like Natasha, it doesn't even say, anywhere I know of, that it'll block the pop-ups. It just does.

If it's real bad a simpletons solution (such as myself) would be to download another browser and use it for this site. That's why I downloaded Opera. I couldn't figure out, how to block the pop-ups and SteveA, I think it was, said they weren't an issue with Opera.

OK you didn't seem to read further down about blocking javascript.... It's up to you to figure out how to do it for Safari and this site only.

I read everything in that post. I was clarifying what type of popups (brand new window) I was getting so that someone wouldn't try to tell me something about the other type and would focus on the type I had stated.

Javascript. It's imbedded in the header of the webpage. If you disable Javascript it will go away.. but it will also disable some of the other features of the forum too.
