Hello My girlfriend just got off birth control about a month ago, and we had unprotected sex during that time maybe once or twice, anyway she has missed her pd. and its been weeks she took a pregnancy test and it was negative are they effective?

They are very effective but there can always be a false negative. If she repeas the test she should take it with her first urination in the morning. The signal hormones are most concentrated with the first morning urine.
