what will happen to your body after you quit smoking? im seriously considering stopping, cause im at damn near a pack a day now, and its getting expensive. my job pays OK but not enough to be dishing out about 50 bucks a month...
will your body return to the state it was in before you started smoking?

I doubt it will be 100% the same before you started smoking. Once lung cells dies, they are gone for good. But you body will begin to detox itself. In time, you'll start feeling your body getting better and your risks of health problems will drop. The first thing you're going to experience is withdrawals.

i dont feel withdrawal i've stopped smoking conciously for at most 6 months, and then started again juss cause i felt like it...
but its like... yea... if i know that i can be at least 90% back to normal i think i'll stop... still undecided, lots of stuff goin on in my life...

I don't know why you bother. I don't believe half the shit this guy spouts, especially in this thread, it just reeks of lies.
Yes I'm in an irritable mood today, but the sheer amount of misinformation (some of which is completely ridiculous) this guy splashes around on a forum where many young, naive and desperate people come for answers infuriates me.

ive been smoking since i was 13 years old! ive been damn near supporting myself since i was 15, i've seen and done alot of terrible things, GOD FORGIVE ME IF I FEEL LIKE HAVING A CIGARETTE!!!

i understand that cigarettes cost money, i understand there unhealthy, but when ive been lower than the core of the earth they've helped me, or at least mentally tricked me into thinking they have... forgive me if i haven't WANTED to quit...

What irritates me is that you constantly talk about things you know nothing about. I would ignore your posts and not reply if it wasn't for the fact that the one you're advising is the one that's going to suffer.
A recent example was your post on how to gain weight. You said you should hold your shit in as long as possible. What? Why? Not only is that bad advice, it's down right dangerous advice. What if some skinny 12 year old kid desperate to gain weight read that?

Do you know what feces is? It's waste. You can't absorb waste, that's why it comes out. So, how does holding it in help absorb something that's not there?

Use to smoke since I was 15, Stopped cause, well, didn't want to die. Plus my lady doesn't like smokers so that was the secondary reason but important as well. And finally, I used to smoke Marlboro ultra lights 100's.

Feces are stored in your rectum, that's what your rectums job is. It stores waste until you're ready to expel it. Your intestines are is where all the nutrients and energy is absorbed. So how will holding waste in your rectum for long period of time aid in gaining weight?

What food??? There's no food after waste is formed. Don't you get that? It's simple logic. The nutrients have already been absorbed into your body. Now, it's releasing what's left over because it CAN'T be absorbed.

yea i feel you on the lady part, girlfriend smoked casually for a while, but she dislikes the smell of cigarettes on me..
only REAL reason i can think of to stop, is for my future wife and kids... i want my kids to bury me, just not when there 10....
