Hey guys.. Every time I get done with running in my weight training class on Mondays, my right hip kills me to walk on, and it lasts about until we have to run again, so I have this pain thats not going away. Its in the front part and its like a sharp stabbing pain. I've taken pain pills and they don't seem to work, they take forever to kick in and then when they do;if they do its only for like 10 min or so. I don't know if thats because i sat down and rested that it stopped hurting or if it was the pill.. Is there anyway that i can prevent the pain from coming while i'm running, or anything to help it afterwards, so I can do my everyday activity's?
thanks Littlebit=]]

Other people may have more specific ideas, but I think a pain that's not going away over weeks needs professional attention.
Pain pills only remove the symptom, and not the cause of the pain.

well it gets better if i dont rin or work it with squats and stuff during class, but if i keep working it it tends to keep hurting.
but if it does keep up i'll talk to mom and have her take me in...

It is probably your running technique.
If it is constant and doesn't feel muscular, you should consult a doctor. :]

If you end up going to the doctor, you should ask him to see if you're turning your right hip inwards when you run, because that would put extra strain on the joint and get much worse during running that just walking. When I was really little I used to turn one leg in, but they made me train that one more than the other, and it seemed to work, I don't have any problems now.
You might need some physiotherapy, they can help you develop the right running technique to correct the problem.

thanks guys i'll look into the weird running thing cause that just may be it..
but today i talked to the head sport administrator man, and from where it hurts and the way i move it to make it hurt he thinks that its a adductive muscle pull/ strain.. and said not to do anything that hurts it.. which is like all my daily activity's, and I have to walk 2 miles everyday to and from the bus stop, and i dont think mom is gonna drive me.. but i can cut out on my running, squats, and cleans i guess.
