Alright guys, just curious as to whether or not you've been put in this position, and how you went about it. My girlfriend recently told me I'd have to ask her parents permission to date her. (Recently started going out) I've never had to do this in any past relationship, and don't really mind, but i just don't know how to ask her parents. My girlfriend didn't really have any advice on asking. It's really nothing serious, I just thought maybe you guys would have less awkward ways of doing it haha. Any ideas? Thanks!

Wow! that's the reason why I'm sketical of dating lol. The other parents, that can be an obstacle. Yea, it's that some parents are tough to come by and you will just have to ask them. Hopefully they see that you're a good guy for their daughter to date.

Hey man, i'd say let her parents know how you feel about their daughter and how she feels about you. Let them know that you respect that they are her parents and that you wanted to make sure they didn't mind that you dated her.

You can also start off by mentioning how you feel that they like you, and you feel they are comfortable with you being around her.

Honestly, it should be a piece of cake, her parents will respect you even more.

If I were a father I'd respect the dude for coming to me face to face and asking could he date my daughter.

But I'd prefer if he did that first. Actually the mother should be first cause If you impress the mom then your chances will most likely go up with the dad.

Heck that happened to my sister, the kid asked my dad.
