You ever cried in the corner of ya room, but didn’t know why, I do that shit everynight, you might think different, Cause im not livin your life, but deep inside, I do it too… imma superstar, but consider the fact that im human too, I commit sins too, but when I close my eyes, And don’t know what to do, I play the music louder, closing my eyes, Letting god do what he do, or write what he writes, Im pushin through the mental barrier But something aint right, Could it be ya black sky, (echo) Could it be ya stressed mind, (echo) Could it be ya sad life, (echo) Could it be the bloody blade in your right, (echo) When ya feelin like ya wanna end ya life, put away the blade, Put away the dagger; strive ta be sumthin better,
(chorus)
You feel like you throwin ya life away, Steadily thinkin of words to say, But u blank out, Like a mute thinkin of a word to say, Ya livin ya life day by day, but, When you open your eyes, todays the same day, You wanna juss give up, try again tomorrow, You’re struggling to keep up, Fighting for death but your life is only burrowed, So you cant give it up on whim, Even my life sucked, And I cant believe that I was him, Now, when, I, look back at my past, I close my eyes, focus on the future, Put aside the memory’s of my brother, Put aside the things that made me sad, Forget the pain that my momma went through Cause of my dad, Focus on what she brought me and my sisters, But I gotta admit, that sometimes I didn’t love her, She birthed this child of god, so I thank her, But now I gotta get back, to struggling for dat paper,

No. But do you see me comparing myself to legendaries like 2Pac?
If you really want to compare yourself to 2Pac, come up with songs like "Brenda's Got a Baby", "Mama's just a little girl", or "Changes". Then you can talk.

i have songs similar to that...
Seein tears in her face, another kid lost, A little too late, Askin and beggin sayin how did it happen, Her knees gave out she fell down, prayin, Sayin for god to take her instead of her son, That the life he took was still undone, He still had a lot of goals to finish in his life, A great son, doesn’t he deserve that right,
Life comes at you fast, live in the moment, Cause it could be ya last, Debatin and sayin wonderin what to do, Cant seem to Getem out ya life, Their gone, and that’s the truth.
I try to pick her up, and comfort her, But she wont listen to my words, I try again, she pushes me aside, I try once more this time, Yet again im shoved off, She puts her hand up to my face tellin me to fuck off, I try to convince her that it wasn’t really my fault, “How could you say this wasn’t your fault, My sons dead, gone, fucking lost, 9 months in the womb 16 years on this earth, I went through the pain for him, you didn’t give birth! What do you know about the pain im feeling? I was wroung about god needing to take me, Your life shoulda been the one for the taking!
Life comes at you fast, live in the moment, Cause it could be ya last, Debatin and sayin wonderin what to do, Cant seem to Getem out ya life, Their gone, and that’s the truth.
First, ya son was sellin and slangin coke inna herse, It’s a shame imma tell you this inna verse, but ur sons dead He was gettin rid of da weight faster than Jenny Creg, Two dudes came, pulled up shotty straight aimed, We dropped the product and ran, 7 shots layed out but I only heard two slams, I don’t know what else you want me to say, That’s how you livin, when you livin, a thug life by day, If your son was here and he had one thing left, he’d say “How long will they mourn meh?”
Life comes at you fast, live in the moment, Cause it could be ya last, Debatin and sayin wonderin what to do, Cant seem to Getem out ya life, Their gone, and that’s the truth.
its actually a story about my friend jason who i lost a few years ago...
Prayer of Consistence
Lord, I am but the ink in the pen that glides amongst your page, The forgotten memories, that are the price to pay, When engulfed within age, I am the peaceful warrior, hidden behind the rage, I am gods advocate, teaching the ignorant how to pray, Bless me, continuously, with flows that are moving, Bless me, undyingly, with consistent words for your doing, Give me the strength to stand tall when my knees are weak, Grab my hand and guide me, during the times I can’t see, And during the times, in which I cannot speak, You are my tongue, as well as my teeth, The muscle that allows the burden of the weight of my bible, The holy ghost that engulfed my body during the recital, You are my king, my god, you are my idol, I am your advocate, your disciple, I am, Your fallen angel named Michael
please... at the age of 17 tupac wasnt near my lyrical tense... he got as good as he did after he stopped being 'makaveli'

That's called plagarism, but hey, you put it in quotes, so it must be fine.
How about coming up with your own lines?
Though I will say, the line with Jenny Craig was clever.
> please... at the age of 17 tupac wasnt near my lyrical tense... he got as good as he did after he stopped being 'makaveli'
At the age of 17 Tupac was famous. Who the fuck are you?

i dont think tupac was famous at 17, he was still in the revolution with his mom and family
and the "how long will they mourn me" was a reference to a tupac song, in the recorded version, it plays a clip of him saying that...
and also, take into consideration, how hard tupac worked to get where he was... and he had ALOT of help from who his mother was... and who his family was... anywhere his mom would go protest he would be there reciting poetry and spoken word

By "makaveli," do you mean Machiavelli, which is a political view similar to Realpolitik, where all governmental policy is for the state and with a disregard to other states? I can't understand what you're trying to say without knowing what word you're trying to use.

Ah, ok. Didn't realize that the single quotes were to demonstrate it was a name he had used. I don't care much about the social lives of any celebrities.

No shit sherlock, that's why I said it'd be plagarism.
> how hard tupac worked to get where he was
Do you have any idea how hard he worked to get where he was?
How much hard work have you done? You've spent an awful lot of time bullshitting on an internet website.
@Cider: > By "makaveli," do you mean Machiavelli
By Machiavelli, he means this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niccol%C3%B2_Machiavelli
Tupac nicknamed himself after that guy. He studied a lot of his works at a young age.

So he named himself after the person who defines "Machiavellian." Did any of Machiavelli's ideas show up in how he acted?

> Did any of Machiavelli's ideas show up in how he acted?
I can't say for sure, since I don't know much about Machiavelli. I do know that apparently Machiavelli faked his own death (for political gain I believe), so people who believe Tupac is still alive use the fact that he was a fan of Machiavelli as their supporting argument.
> A quote is not necessarily plagiarism, if it's written as a quote.
Yes, but a good rapper comes up with his own lines, not using lines of people he wish he could be like.

That’s how you livin, when you livin, a thug life by day, If your son was here and he had one thing left, he’d say “How long will they mourn meh?”
i wasnt saying that it was my line, and its actually for a personal reason... that story is basically the story of my brother who passed away, he loved tupac, as do i...
what i was trying to get across, is that when he died in the verse, people were crying, and sad, and mourning. but thats not what he wants, he wants to just be known...
and thats why he ask's How long will they mourn meh?

I know you're not saying it's your line.
That's why I said a rapper comes up with HIS OWN lines, not using other people's lines.
There's a difference.

i make like 5 verses, hardly repeat rhyme words, i dnt think i repeat any more than 2 times, but i refer one line from another song and its bad :-( well whatever, its an old verse, but still ill just have to learn from that....
heres 2 of my verses from a song called earth run red
Whats happenin to the world as we evolving, Congress getting signed, whilst our rap sales is fallin, They talkin bout the war our troops is steadily fightin, Votin for new presidents but what is dey solvin? Nothing just talkin n talkin, debatin n sayin, What it is they finna do for our country, Call me stupid matter fact call me crazy, But I aint believing a word they sayin, Even our own candidates is steadily arguein, What the hells happenin? (Ill tell you,) Whats wroung wit our teen era today, Where’s Noah wit his arc lets get swept away, Don’t be taken for granted what muh words say, I mean nothing negative by them, Im juss sayin gods plan, Never included guns & cannons, So many people livin for today being materialistic, Yo Porshe and Ferrari aint finna follow you in death, Juss accept it.
Homicide and dat kid killin it on the mic, But theres killin in the streets, and they doin it every night, Why do, rappers invest, money into ice, Instead of money into life? What would you do if you was eatin food off the floo, Picture what they go through, and u still askin fa mo, Dey keepin warm with pieces of plastics, Where as you purchasing Gucci Necklace’s, Take a look in they eyes, ya see blank stares, Obviously because they so used to nothin dere, Not used to the sight of food, so used to hunger, The pains blockin out there mood, like rain durin thunder, Huddlin durin the rain cuz they got nothin over, Nothin to cover as god cries tears, He’s cryin for poverty but open ya eyes an realize, Dat poverty will always be right here,

Its music just like rock, pop, jazz, and its a way of expression about there life and/or feelings. I find most rock music awful and i can't stand country music but ppl seem to accept it more.

Yes, it's was MY opinion that (any) Rap is the "most awful crap" ever... I wasn't picking out anyone in particular. I don't understand the appeal.
There are other crappy musical genres too but Rap is really low on my list.

Some rap can be good. It's mainly the ones that don't talk about anything other than drugs, money, and sex that are shit, which constitutes a lot of the mainstream rap.
