The search function doesn't appear to be working. Any idea why it won't? I had it set to newer than 4 years and it still gave nothing for words that would be common.

It won't work for a time period greater than three years. You can search further back than three years ago, but only if you have an "Older than" setting so the total period of time searched is no more than three years.

It worked for some key words but it didn't find some that I thought it should like "ask."

Meaning? And the period wasn't included in the keyword. Also doesn't let you have more than 4 pages of results, which is really restrictive >.> Which I think is 100 results.

I can't help if the search feature is kind of stupid. And yes the 4 pages thing sucks.

I've never, never gotten mine (search feature, before you pervs get on me about it) to work, at least sense the change in format or whatever you call it. But fortunately I have the time to just scroll back through posts and I can usually remember close enough where shit was to find it pretty quick.

My problem is more than likely the user not the search feature though.

This is no question and has no point as usual I'm just bored.

Oh well... When I mentioned to the owner that perhaps he should upgrade the software since he probably had 1yr of free upgrades, he blew it off saying we should probably leave it alone if nothing is broken. Too late now.

Another forum I frequent maintains a "stop word" list, which is a list of words that, if used in a search, the search just stops and returns 0 results.

Is that what you're describing?

We don't have a search feature like that - at least, not that I've noticed.

I didn't think so. Then again, I don't use the search that much.
