I posted once before about this a while ago, but couldn't find it.
Anyway, heres my story. I'm 20 years old, closer 21, and I BARELY grow any facial hair. When I say barely, I mean like a few hairs on my neck, a couple on my chin, and a very weak mustache. Basically if you're not within a foot or 2 of my face you wouldn't notice. I'm at the progress of your typical 15-16 year old. I just started to get hair around my nipples and on my chest within the past few months, and remember, I'm 20(I've been 20 for over 6 months).
I have hair everywhere else on my body, and lots of it, so I don't get why it's not growing on my upper half, especially my face. I would say I'm harrier than most people on my legs and that area if you know what i mean. I'm tired of looking like a 15 year old when I'm 20. Is there anything I can do to speed up facial hair growth? I'm at college so I can't talk to my regular doctor, and even so, it would be kind of embarrassing(well, couldn't be as bad as getting tested for herpes or something).
It's almost embarrassing to an extent. Thanks

so ur saying that u'd want to shave every day/every other day than not shave at all?
first off test if u have hair. if utypically shave ur face every couple days... dnt do so for about 2-3 weeks... then under a good light.. look at ur face sieways. look for faint hairs... if u see them then theres still hope...
also take a look at ur fathers facial hair. and ur grandfathers...
i like my face hair but i do get agitated wit it occasionally but i do wish i had more...

Nope..There is absolutely nothing you can do. You're going to have to suck it up and deal with it.

Yup! Genetics can be a real pain in the ass!
My ex Bf is 38 years old and still has hardly any facial hair, but he on the other hands loves it lol, and I admit I am jealous of that lol. I hate shaving!!!

What's so embarrassing? I mean, you don't have to shave or anything. Also, I think a lot of girls nowadays are into a guy with a smooth face and they'll probably think you're cute if you look a little younger.

You'll be glad when you're 30 and look 25.

I for one wouldn't worry about it. It's just less work in the morning, unless you actually want a beard/mustache.

You're lucky you dont have that much facial hair. I'm 16 and I have a beard if I don't shave twice a day. Sometimes I shave 3 times in a day if I go somewhere late at night.

Hey Jason, Welcome to A2A.. I too have that problem. If I'm going out at night I have to shave too. I can grow a full beard in about 3-4 days..
I'm like the missing link... I'm part bear I guess...
Listen buddy... This is a very old thread... Some people here get a little bent if you bring old threads back to life. You should start a new conversation or topic rather than digging up something so old..
Just make a note in your posting you were reading an old thread and whated to comment on it or share your story..
It's all good.. It's cool...
As a little FYI... I was shaving in the 5th grade and was buying beer, cigarettes and pron for all of my friends when I was in 8th grade...

I used to wonder why it was that people gat ticked off when an old thread was brought up, thinking people should be able to read & respond to whatever they wanted to.
Then it hit me .. example:
I have this problem and I post on February 20, 2007.
I don't want and I don't need a reply on September 28, 2008.
My problem has probably already been taken care of and I might not even still be coming here to see whatever you just said.
So, yeah: If you have something you need to say in an old thread, start a new one and say it or ask it there.
That way, I don't have to read through all the posts to know what you're talking about.
