Really the only way to know is to go to the doctor. Herpes can be passed even without outbreaks, so it is a real possibility. PLUS, you can have the virus for many years before you have an outbreak, so it is hard to say where it came from if you have had more than one partner.
It is a possibility that you are reacting to the new lube too.
