Two months ago, my brother was diagnosed with Infectious Mononucleosis (mono, Pfieffer's Disease, kissing disease, etc). He was barely able to eat anything and wasted away most of the muscle we had been working for together.
Yesterday morning, I woke up with a severe sore throat, fever, and sore eyes, and those being similar symptoms, I called my doctor up and he is scheduling me for an appointment for tomorrow.
However, I don't want to lose all the work I've achieved so far. Any tips on how to keep proper nutrition for the next few weeks if it really is mono?

I would recomend to just eat healthy. Make sure you get lots of fluids like juices (100% only) and eat youy grains fruits veggies etc. Not only will this hel you maintain your nutriton but it will help you recover quciker

This is what you've got to tackle. Your brother wasn't eating enough to maintain his muscles, keep himself warm, maintain normal organ behavior, essentially he wasn't eating enough to live. His body start breaking down muscle (which is much more easily done than fat) for energy instead.
If eating is hard, focus on energy dense food. Nuts, oil, butter, pasta, bread etc. Even McDonalds, remember Miccy D's is only bad if you got over your daily energy requirements (which is VERY easy to do considering how much energy the average meal has), otherwise it's fine. Less nutritious than most other meals, but nothing bad.
Edit: I'd almost recommend getting a high carb protein shake. You can suck a lot of energy down very easily with one of those. Although I'd speak to your Doc about going on such an energy dense diet first 'cause I know nothing about this illness.

Thank you all for the information. I got to the doc late yesterday night and he checked me out and told me I only have a severe case of strep throat with a fever, which was just coincidental as its actually gone now. Hopefully its gone soon. ><
