Last week my mother went for her normal breast cancer exam (Runs in the family so she has it done once a year) and they found a lump. They are doing the Biopsy today so I'm pretty damned nervous, though my mother is acting like its no big deal (though I'm sure that's just a front for us kids). I guess my question is does anyone know how long it takes for the results to come back? I've asked my mother but she pretty much just avoids the question.

Thanks... and if you all would be willing to say a prayer or whatever it is you believe I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! \:\)

If I remember right I think two or three days, but you'll have to add the weekend into that. Today would count as one of those days. So say like by Tuesday next week, maybe as late as Wednesday because of the weekend.

Well bleh... it's going to be a long weekend than. Thanks thought for the reply \:\) I had a feeling it would probably be a couple days, I was just unrealistically hoping for something much faster.

My wife had a breast biopsy 1-2 yrs ago... I think it took up to a week.

Glad to hear that she is well..

The thought of cancer is so stressful and scary.

A colleague at work found out yesterday/today that his 19 yr old step-son has an aggressive form of cancer at the base of his spine and pelvic bone. Very unfortunate.

That is so Sad. I cant even imagine having a child with cancer. Ive dealt with cancer in my family and it is not easy, but having a child with it is not something i think anyone could handle well. I hope your friends step son is not in to much pain and ill pray for him and family.
