Hey i am trying to quite smoking ...upto now i have tried the gum but i tasted so horrible i couldnt used it anymore. i have tried the pacthes but they just dont seem to work. i was doing well i cut from 20 to 13 aday now im back to where i started arghhh its doing my head in cause im a very moody git i cant just stop all together it would be hell for my finacee n everyone else. any ideas on what i could do to cut down and any ideas on what i could do to take my mind off wanting one? thanks

First off you need to be completely off cigs before you try to get pregnant and right now you think you're pregnant. Don't try to be having a baby if you can't get off cigs. My neighbor would chew on cinnamon (sp?) sticks or lollipops when she got the urge. It worked for her.

well i have put a test in but its very very likley to be negavtive as we have found out there is a problem with my finacee as he has rumatoide artirits the medication he is gives him a very high chances of infertilitay whislt on them. this is one of the reasons i want to stop smoking as i dont want to be pregnant and smoking its not fair to the child.

smoking also damages your eggs, and that can defenitely prevent pregnancy and damaged eggs cause miscarriages...medication may lower sperm count slightly but it shouldn't cause infertility.

Have you tryed Zyban?
I was on them for 2 months and did pretty well till the depression hit hard and started up again. Been thinking of starting them again, but my doc's told me not to mix the pill's I'm on with these.
They were origionaly designed as an anti-depressent (which test results proved a complete bummer), but they found most people that were using the pill's "stopped" smoking.
If you doc won't perscribe them to you, do what I did, just tell him that you can purchase them online... but... you would rather do the course with him as you would feel much "safer" with them.
If you do get them DON'T overdose on them, they have some REALLY nasty effects on people, I've seen one person in respirtory arrest due to accidently overdosing on them.... hmmm this is giving me ideas now.... any way, I "did" really well when I was taking them and would have lasted the course, but anyways, give them a try.

I just want to be on my own for a while... I'm pissed off with things 
your doc will try to talk you out of taking them and will probably tell you that you have to join the NHS no smoking group... it's crap, just tell him it would affect your social life, but if you tell him you can get them on the internet 99% of the time, he will let you have them (although you didn't hear that from me  )

they are both bupropion HCl...
and no1sex the best antidepressant is the one that works well for you. everyone is different. i use zoloft and it works well for me.

I just quit a month ago and its going well for me. I passed my personal tests, being around friends who smoke, drinking Tuaca, and after sex, I'm still not smoking. I think it's easier for me since I simply convince myself, but if I have just ONE drag, I'm smoking a pack a day. Extremes. I started at twelve.

I have always had the great ability.. To smoke then and then just put them down.. Had one like 2 or 3? weeks ago.. Havn't had one since.. I guess I'm lucky

When I'm around cigerate smoke it angers me.. Like when I'm around someone who is smoking.. it just bothers me.. When i smoke.. I'm usually by myself.. away from people.. But I don't do it often enough to worry about it..
