Could I have a pimple on my anus?

Hi all,

I started noticing some severe discomfort 3 days ago around my anus. At first, it was bearable, however, now on day 3 and it's starting to become very hard to live with this pain. In attempts to look in the mirror and after feeling around right around the top of my butt hole, I've noticed a pimple-like looking object. Just like the pimple you'd see on your face, but right above my butthole, as I said.

I am giving this another day or two to go away or start showing signs of heeling, but until then, I really don't know what to do. It hurts very badly just to walk and stand up from sitting down. I don't want to pop it, because it'll obviously get infected. I'm afraid to make bowel movements because I don't want to whipe and rip it off.

Aside from seeing a physician, I need some tips. Please.

It sounds like a haemorrhoid. They are a sort of varicose vein. They can be painful, and they can't be popped. They may bleed during a bowel movement, but infection is unlikely (strangely enough). You can get creams at a pharmacy that will shrink them - Preparation H is one well-known brand.

Do hemorrhoids have a white pimple like color?

All the research I've done on hemorrhoids haven't shown any white, pimple like structures.

This really looks like a pimple. I can't picture it being anything else. Ugh.

Also, after browsing through pictures and symptoms of haemorrhoids, I've concluded that it's not that.

Then it might be a boil or cyst. If it were at the top of the buttcrack I'd suggest a pilonidal cyst; it's still a possibility, but less likely. Perhaps a boil is most likely. Really, if it's causing so much pain, you should get to a doctor.

I wish I could say I was lying, but the thing just popped. I was lying in bed and I rolled over to pick up my phone that was ringing on my night stand and I felt it pop.

I ran to the bathroom to see what had happened and surely enough, it was leaking puss. It's so gross. Wiped everything away and now I'm going to take a shower to make sure it's fully clensed. Maybe it was just a pimple. Weird.

Hopefully there's no re occurrence. If there is, I'll have to result to a physician's help. Thanks so much for the advice here, though.
