I started drinking Tea lately, usually blueberry made with teabags so no calories or sugars. Is it good for me in any way other than that, does tea in general help anything?

Yes, drinking tea does have a positive effect on the body. Studies have shown it to provide antioxitative and anti-inflammatory effects. It addition, it appears to relax the blood vessels, allowing increased blood flow and thus is heart healthy. It is not a miracle cure for anything but, rather like a vitamin, is somethng that helps the body function better. There is some scientific evidence, however, that adding milk to your tea (as is common in some countries) actually nullifies the positive values of tea. Learing to dring it without sugar is also smart to keep down your caloric intake. You will also find some debate over the value of green tea versus black tea. I don't know that there is a definitive answer as to which is better. Enjoy both hot or iced!!

Since you've started drinkning tea you really should try fresh peppermint. All you have to do is get fresh mint leaves and put them in hot water for about five minutes. It is one of the most amazing teas. Peppermint tea is good for when you have an upset stomach - it helps fatty foods be digested.

Oolong tea is really good too. It's good if you want to relax, and just chill. Even the caffeinated, really. It's odd...

You should try green tea, it's really good for your skin, health, and body. It might taste horrible at first but you get used to the taste. If you want you can add a sweetener, i suggest a natural sweetener like honey, but sugar works fine. I always get an iced green tea everywhere they serve it.
