Is there any way of achieving this? I'm tired of feeling sorry for myself and randomly crying myself to sleep at night. Is there any way I can psychologically numb my emotions so i'm not so pathetic?

I don't think stuffing emotion is a good thing. In fact if you stuff it now, it will come back in some other form later!
Do you have a lot of stress in your life at the moment?

Hmm well my knowledge only goes so far. Maybe you should seek a trusted friend or a counselor of some sort? just an idea

I think talking it over with a counsellor would be a good start. It may be that you are depressed, in which case treatment is aimed, not at stifling emotions, but getting them back into balance.

keep after it boy. eventually you will vastly improve your life. learn to be selfish. do nothing for anyone but you. that is the only thing that will improve your already great plan.
