I'm a really skinny person, and have been working on building up muscles in my arms. But I also have this rather large gut from where I'm guessing I use to just drink soda all the time.

What sort of exercises should I be doing to lose this?

Cardio and eat healthier.

There's no way to lose weight in one specific place.

Impossible. You can't target any part of the body for fat loss.
If you could, I'd be staring at a 6 pack by now.
