another herpes question

Hi there. recently I found out I fooled around with a girl who had recently had unprotected sex with someone with herpes. Now obviously I realize she had to of contracted the herpes from this gentleman in order to pass them on to me, but let's assume right now that she automatically has them.
During my time with her, my finger was in her regina, and my penis was in her genital area (but there was no penetration and she was wearing panties) This happened 4 weeks ago. I have had no visual signs of herpes but my genital area is starting to itch. But I'm not sure if the itching is a sign of herpes or because I exercise constantly or because it's all in my head, or a combination of everything.
It's gotten me so worried I made a doctor appointment to get a blood test for HSV next week. My question is does this itching sound like herpes to anyone?

The blood test is the answer. The itching may be psychcosomatic.
