I don't see why not.
People decide many life-changing things at many ages. There was a woman a few years back, who went to college for her master's degree. She was 92.
People get married at 70, either the first time, or not, but it still happens.

To the Original Poster: I knew I was gay in the 5th grade. For me, it was something I felt deep inside. I knew I was different from the other boys.

Absolutely. I knew when I was very young there was something different about me, but just wasn't until I was a bit older did I realize the difference I was feeling was the fact I was gay. I also think growing up in a very small town was the reason it took me so long to figure it all out.

United can takeoff at 8:45am
American can takeoff at 10:50am
US Airways can takeoff at 1:33pm
Air Canada can takeoff at 3:30pm
West Jet can takeoff at 7:30pm
But all 5 jets arrive at the same place.
My point being, along with everyone else, is regardless of any decision or declaration you make, whether it be about sexuality or the such, you can make the call at any point in your life. Because in the end, it is not when or how quickly you made a decision but rather if you are happy and satisfied about it.
