...HATES Homosexuals. I don't mean she doesn't like them I mean hates them she won't even watche the Ellen show. I can't believe it why does she hate them? Would it change if I told her that I was or would she hate me?

There is nothing served by telling her anything at this point, just let it lay.
As for why she hates them, it's probably for the same reason my granny used to go out in public and say, "Well isn't that the cutest little nigger baby you've ever seen." That's just the era they grew up in. At that time homosexuality was the ultimate sin. A sin less excusable than murder by some folks.
People often surprise us. Some people we think would never accept us do and others we're sure will can't get passed it.
Your sexuality is not something you need to advertise or wear on your sleeve. She, or anyone you rely on, simply doesn't need to know right now. Save the admissions and confrontations for when you may want to bring that guy home and make him a part of your family. Granny may surprise you then.

think that you guys are right and I willjust keep it a seceret antil I bring someone homeand then grandma will still not find out. I love her to death but she's so narrow minded and only about this so I wonder if grandpa was gay and that's why they (aperently) faught so much

If granny's reaction is indicative of how the rest of your family may react, even if they aren't as open with their prejudices, be sure to wait till your own your own and can support yourself before letting them know. If they're paying for your college wait till your done with that. Take care of yourself first before you "come out."

Yep and they aren't going to be Paying for my college, well they've offered but only if I stay in our small town with just a community college. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with community colleges, but for me in a town of 7000 counting the prison they do t accept homosexuals. I know they don't heck we got made it in the top hundreds for the worst sundown towns and yes we are still legally a sundown town. They don't arrest people for it but if you are African American you will get made fun of and picked on. I also know that within the last ten years we have had a cross burning so basically I hate this town. It sucks.
