Disappearing and reappearing bump on ear lobe.

I've had this thing for years. Its this little hard bump under the skin on my ear lobe. It's about right where a standard ear piercing would be.
I'm a 20 year old male now but I remember this thing coming up since I was at least 14. It's only on my right ear and is very sore to the touch. It comes up, stays for about 2 weeks, and then will disappear for anywhere from a week to months at a time, only to return at a later time.
I normally just deal with it but now I noticed it coming back up again yesterday and its sore. Google fails me. Anyone else have any clues?

I've had this before too.. It's some kind of cyst but that's all I can say about it.
