Man, so my night has been a little rough. So today i was at work and things were a bit hectic so everyone was rushing around. Anyway i was downstairs and i needed to get upstairs quickly so i was running to get up there and there was something in my way.

So being in such a rush and not thinking at all, instead of going around it i decided that i would just jump and launch off of it because it could be fun. So being as clever as i am, i launch off of it straight into a metal beam almost scalping myself (i have a 3 inch gash in the top of my head) and of course the force of that sends me backwards and fall on the back of my head on the cement.

Two co-workers witnessed and asked me if i was ok, so i remove my hand from my head and its soaked in blood, i then proceed to stand up and blood just starts pouring all over the place, its running down my face, my arms and hands are covered in blood, my clothes, the ground, everything and my co-workers just lost it.

They both looked terrified, one thought i was going to die and the other thought i needed to go to the E.R. immediately (which i did)and they just started freaking out. All they could say is "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD" and then they looked at my head and i thought they might cry they just looked like they saw death and they just started freaking out more.

So in the meantime i have these two people in my face making me feel like im about to die and im trying to keep them under control while im bleeding profusely everywhere. I kept just saying "Its ok, clam down, dont freak me out just stay calm" and "Its ok guys, im going to be fine trust me" so it wasnt very fun, trying to keep them calm and keep myself calm at the same time.

Anyway to cut it a bit short, i ended up going to the E.R. I have a ton of staples in my head now with a 3 inch cut that is pretty damn deep going down my head. Its still bleeding 6 hours later and it hurts pretty bad and i have a concussion, but they say i will be fine.

It was pretty scary and i was pretty concerned for my health, but i almost feel more bad for my co-workers then i do myself. A few of them witnissed someone get hit by a car in front of hour store and die last year so they are a bit sensitive to things like this and i think it really scared them.

There was just alot of blood because it is a head wound, so that made it worse then it really was. Anyway i feel ok right now, my head hurts and i feel a bit weird due to the concussion but i think i will be fine in a week or two. Im just thankful it wasnt as serious as it could have been, i dont know why i decided to jump off of that thing, i know the roofs are low downstairs i was just in a hurry and wasnt thinking, but everything looks like its going to be ok so we will see soon.

So sorry to hear that you got hurt, but glad that you got fixed up and are going to be OK. You're a tough
guy, and I'm sure you'll add this to the list of dumb things that you're not going to do again.

the fact that you're ok makes me feel confident in saying, smooth move dumbass!

Yeah, there's nothing like a fountain of a head wound to freak people out. So, is it below your hair line, giving you a great scar to talk about?

I managed to gash my head on the garage door once (not as bad as you, obviously) and they glued me together. \:\)

I’ve stopped counting the times I’ve got stitches. Never have got stapled tho. The worse cut was when i stepped back on a machete and almost took my heel off. Not the brightest idea to help put up a fence barefoot.

good to hear your ok

My first broken nose came in the garage.
I was moving shit, turned around to smash into the corner of the waterbed that was in storage, blood everywhere, 2 black eyes, fucking beautiful.

Good god, what a bunch of klutzes. 35, never a stitch, a staple or a broken bone and this while doing some hard living when I was younger. ;\)

See i had never had any broken bones or stiches until i started doing MMA. Ive broken my foot, all my knuckles on my right hand, and now i have staples in my head, that wasnt due to MMA, but i should probably claim it is because the real story is quite....sad lol.

I'm glad your feeling better and your injury isn't super serious. I'm glad you will be okay...

From a managers point of view... You're damn lucky you didn't kill yourself by fucking off at work. I'm sure the employee manual didn't say "Launching off stationary items is extremely dangerous and not permitted within the facility" ... Rest assured, it will now......

Ya true, but to give you some insight on my work, my manager and his friend were downstairs drinking a tall can minutes before my accident, they should add that to the manual ;\)

Thank you for the wishes though i appreciate it. Im very lucky its as minor as it is. Though i do have a concussion and some staples i will live and im thankful for that. Was a good wake up call.

Careful what you say!! When I was in third grade I made the mistake of saying "I never had stitches before". That night I was in the ER getting 8 stitches right between my eyes lol.
