My doc has referred me for an ultrasound of my testes in order to check out a cyst. Has anyone been for one before and what will it be like?

A friend of mine had an ultrasound once (but not of his junk), and they had to shave away some hair and then they coated the area with a jelly. So I wonder if they'll need to shave your nuts first! I bet the jelly they put on might tickle too.

Check back with us and tell us how it all went and, more importantly, how you are. OK?
The test was just as Rad said - they squirt on some jelly, rub the probe over, nothing painful or embarrassing. The results show I've got two small epidydimal cysts. Apparently they're completely harmless, so that's a load off my mind.
I'd definitely encourage other guys to go and get checked if they find any lumps - it's painless and puts your mind at ease.
