You are doing just fine. Are you having any problems?

well the redness does seem to be going down but i see these pictures online of ppl who have done it perfectly smooth with no redness or bumps at all and i wanna know what im doing wrong. am i waiting too long between shaves? do i need a different razor? ever heard of the mens body groomers that claim to be safe for pubes? know if they work?

I never shave against the grain. It causes too many ingrown hairs and red rash for me. I have with the grain. I do it in the shower and I like using a mild bar of baby soap. instead of shaving cream. The soap works well for me

How long have you been shaving? If you started rather recently, it may be that your skin has not become used to the razor. It does take some time.
It's also possible that the pictures you are seeing are of someone who has waxed.

Phillips Norelco has a new product out - "Body groom" and I purchased one, it is used to shave for men from the neck down and all parts in between! It is rechargeable, and can be used wet or dry - have to be real careful on the ball sack; just tighten the skin and shave normal. I bought mine through Amazon.com - and no I do not have any stock in either Norelco or Amazon.com.... it also comes with three sizes of shaving comb attachments that you can trim the hair down, and finally shave it all off or just what-ever you like. I don't shave every day, just when I want too and my skin is very use to it. I would highly recommend this product to all men who are interested...

Probably. Check Wal-Mart. They have everything!
That actually sounds pretty cool though...I might have to check into that, see if it's better than a razor.
