Alright, so here's how it goes. There's this girl in a few of my classes, and a couple weeks into school, I noticed she would look at me a lot, and sometimes I'd just look at her too, occasionally meeting, and it wasn't awkward, like "OMG! I have to look away!", it'd be one of the lingering looks.
So I asked her to a dance that we have coming up/is tonight [woo! big deal for me!] She kindly declined, saying she didn't like dances, and that she had a boyfriend, but that she would definitely go [out]. Now, from what I could tell, she didn't. She's the type that uses Facebook/Myspace enough that she'd have it up, and the fact that I haven't heard her talk about one. So the other day, she's talking to ourmutual friend in study hall about some dude, that, albeit I'm not totally sure on, but sounded like a boyfriend. So I decided that she did, and she just didn't have it up.
But now, she still looks at me often, I can tell even out of the corner of my eye, and it's like we have this connection. Maybe it's all the Irish involved.
But really, I don't really know what to do, because it feels like that if I ask her if she has a BF or not, I'll be prying/just weird, esp. becasue she already told me that she had one.
Thoughts?

If she says she already has a boyfriend, there's not much further you can do. Perhaps you could tell her that if she ever breaks up with her boyfriend to think of you.

[[Something I had forgotten to put in, re: Facebook, she leaves the weirdest updates, like "Your stupid if you don't realize theses updates are about you." "I'm happy and fine now, where are you?" and the like.]]
But wouldn't that make me seem slimeball-ish if I asked her that?

I don't think so myself, or I wouldn't have suggested it. Perhaps others can give their opinion.
