Hi Everyone,
So on July 31st 2009, I got let go from my job due to the current recession. Ever since then I have been a big ball of stress. In addition, I get in these phases where I am a huge hypochondriac.(although I've always been one.) Last year, my doctor prescribed me on Lexapro. I took it for awhile, stopped taking it, now I'm back on it again. So last week I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I have to pee, but I couldn't go. (no burning sensation..I've had UTI'S in the past and this didn't feel like that) so I went back to bed. The day before that I had taken some pepto bismol which can make you constipated and make your stool black due to the bismuth in it. I was constipated, was peeing about every hour, drinking lots of fluids, but had black stool. Finally (not to sound gross), my stool turned back to brown and looked normal again. I was relieved. However, I know I am still a little constipated and am peeing quite often, however thats probably due to all the fluids im consuming. The other day I went to the bathroom, and I had a little spotting on the toilet paper. I figured it was due to stress. It's happened to me before and I am also on the pill. Then yesterday, I felt like I was indigested, and had diarrhea. So today I go to the bathroom and try to have a bowel movement and the only thing I saw in the toilet bowl was pee and blood. I knew the blood came from my butt..I got really scared. I feel fine, my appetite hasn't changed, and I have just as much energy as always. However, since I lost my job I've been a mess and don't do anything. I was always so used to being on the go, whereas now I'm always home just sitting around. What could this be?!?!? Could I be bleeding from my butt from all the straining that I did the past week?? I have no health insurance so am hoping to get some advice off of here. I feel like it's started ever since I got back on my lexapro..help please..

If it's bright red blood then it could be a hemmerhoid. If it is persistent or black then I would be concerned.

I'm definitely far from an expert but, like I said if it doesn't stop soon, then I would see a doctor about it.
