illregular periods

I've heard of them being Ill regular such as sometimes not being around the same time, sometimes at the beginning of the month sometimes around the end sometimes the middle.
But this girl I know is claiming sometimes it's 2-3 months before she gets a period.
Is she like dying or something o.O I've never heard of this.

They can be very irregular, especially in the early years. When my wife first got them they were anything from 3 to 8 weeks apart.
They can also become irregular under stress, or severe dieting.
