I've been wanting a 50 pound curling weight for some time, but they're like 80-200 bucks. I got a free barbell with 2 50 pound weights to attach to it.

Is it any different to curl this 100 pound weight opposed to 2 50 pound weights. or 1 50 pound weight a certain amount then other arm.

Or will it work out about the same?

There are benefits to using dbells, but for your purposes, the barbell will do fine. Try varying your grip width from narrow, to super wide (with less weight), in order to get a bit more "pinch" and greater supination at the top of the movement.

>remember, the biceps muscle also acts to supinate the wrist (rotate outwards)

You're welcome in advance.
