How long does Chlamidya take to go away...?

So I found out I probably caught the clap from this ho and although the doctor doesn't have the results of whether or not I have Chlamidya or Gohnnorhrea for at least a week, he still have me some kind of injection in my ass and also four Azithromycin pills to take as one dose. It has been less than 10 hrs since I had the shot and I took the pills about 5 hours ago.
It still burns when I urinate though and I'm not sure how long these antibiotics are supposed to take to nuke every living thing inside my body, do these not work right away? Anyone got any experience with this?
Also the doctor told me it could be a common cold virus transmitted via fellatio or even swine flu manifesting itself as a sexually transmitted infection? Anyone got any intel on that?
Last question, the doctor told me I have to tell this girl she probably needs to get tested for the same and that where the infection came from is not important because neither of us were virgins and it's uncertain. However I am very sure I never had this before I had sex with this girl and I have not had sex for like 6-7 months before that happened so I know it came from her. Also when I had sex with her once I noticed a small amount of blood on the condom (once I realized i should start using them) and she was not on her period and I looked it up online and saw chlamydia causes that. I don't think people just "flare up" with chlamydia 7 months after catching it, especially if they had just had unprotected sex.
Also not to make excuses but the only reason i didn't use a condom the first time is that i can never stay erect enough to put one on before the erection goes down, the only way i could penetrate her vagina was the just slide it in as soon as I got hard. what the fuck is wrong with me? does my penis want me to get an std on purpose?
Anyways, thanks, I feel disgusting now like a homeless person or something.

Azithromycin, though given as a single dose, works over a few days due to a relatively long half-life. A few hours is too early to tell. If you still have the symptoms after a week, then you would know it hasn't worked. There could be several reasons for that - it may be a resistant bacterium, or it may not be chlamydia or gonorrhoea. Burning when you urinate suggests urethritis, but there are many possible causes of urethritis, including even possibly viral infections, which antibiotics will not touch.
It is not necessarily true that you got what you have through sex. Urinary tract infections can occur without sex, for example. But even if contracted another way, it could be passed on by sex, so your doctor is right that you should tell the girl. Even if she did give it to you, she may not know she has it - a woman (or, less often, a man) can have chlamydia or gonorrhoea and not notice any symptoms.
How about practicing putting on condoms without a woman present, so it is not a big deal when you have to do it in the heat of battle?

Well I'm quite certain she gave it to me, a few days after unprotected sex I felt a small itch in the head of my penis only relieved by urinating or squeezing the head, this progressed into the burning sensation that I feel now every time I piss.
I really don't give a damn about the girl now that she gave me a disease and she can go on and have chlamidya for all i care and i hope she eventually gets an ectopic pregnancy and dies.
