I've had this problem for the last few years now and it's really destroying my life. After every time I shower, I get really tired mentally and physically. I can't think at all and it is almost difficult to move. It stays with me all day or at least until I've had a pretty long nap. I've tried hot and cold showers but there is no difference. I'll even drink a pot of coffee but that doesn't do anything to wake me up. When I'm on break from school I will skip a shower that day and I have no problems. I would just take my showers at night but I sweat like crazy when I sleep regardless of how hot or cold I am. Does anyone have any idea what this is all about?

When you take showers your pores open you know. My thought, you don't drink enough water. When you're in the shower you lose some of your water through your pores and it's dehydrating you.

Just a thought.

That's something I hadn't thought of. It shouldn't leave my tired because on a usual day without exercise I drink about a gallon of water. Thanks for the idea, though.

Interesting idea, but I doubt you would be losing water and if yo did, it wouldn't be sufficient to cause dehydration.

On the contrary though, I would think that being wet in the shower would actually be hydrating your skin.

Maybe showering just REALLY relaxes you to the point that you feel tired.

I wonder if its more of a mental thing; you mentally associate showering with being tired. It makes sense, because most people (myself included) shower before bed so it becomes more of a ritual and the body sometimes has a hard time breaking from the ritual.

Maybe try and break the cycle by maybe getting really active after a shower. Might seem silly, but after a shower in the morning I used to turn on dancing music and dance around my living area as I am getting ready.

Just a thought \:\)
