hi i went the dermatologist and showed him a rash on my penis and he told me he was pretty sure it is psoriasis. I thought it might be herpes prior to the visit. Would the doctor notice by looking at the rash up close that it is psoriasis and not herpes?

Yes, the two would look quite different. Psoriasis leads to skin flaking off, which isn't typical of herpes.

so i dont need to worry about having to get tested right? since the doc said it was psoriasis and the medicine i used worked? i neverm entioned herpes to him tho. However it doesnt seem like it is herpes in the fact thati h ave had the symptoms for around a year and it flares up with masturbation (friction) which is a cause of psoriasis.
