Okay, to start out with I'm a teenage girl and a virgin. Either my sex ed class sucked or I just didn't pay enough attention, but I still had a lot of questions about some things, which is why I found this site in the first place.
...The topic of orgasm didn't exactly come up in class (no pun intended), and so I'm still a bit confused. What exactly is an orgasm supposed to feel like? How do I know if I've had one while masturbating? A few answers would be much appreciated!

Thank you. I hadn't ever really heard someone actually say what it was like besides a release and I've felt something vaguely like that, but not as intense as you say... I've also heard people say that they didn't know what it was the first time they had one. I'm quite a bit less confused now.

I would agree with most of what's been said already, but wanted to add that it's an involuntary reaction that is a lot like a sneeze...there is a build-up, then a release.

You also need to remember (and I am in no way suggesting that you go out and do anything if you are not ready) but everything feels better when it is someone else making you climax. However as others have said if you have one you will know
