Not to be crude or immature, but for those of us who have to go for physical exams periodically, how does your doc examine your gentials?
I have to lay down on the bench while my doc tests my abdominal muscles. Then he moves my pants down a bit to finish the muscle test but lets me pull my pants/undies down fully (while on the bench). He examines my penis my pressing on it/ rolling down skin then my testicles.
Also, should I be embarrased if I am clean shaven down there when I go? Last time my doc noted my pubic hair pattern as a sign I was progressing through puberty well... what happens if I have none or its obvious that it has been shaved. Im a bit worried about this... and about getting aroused during the exam.

Doctors have seen just about everything, and any reasonable doctor will be professional about it. (They have to be - the slightest suggestion of impropriety in this situation and their professional career is ruined.)
How often do you get these examinations?

Every two years is the recommended guideline so I follow it (well my parents do). I just hope my doctor sticks by the "patient doctor confidentiality" lol

Trust me. Your Doctor won't care if you shave down there or not. Should he mention it, just tell him it's your what you prefer. That it's one of the things you do to help you keep everything clean.
just let him do his thing and not sweat it..

I would be willing to bet your doc sees plenty of shaved folks. Nothing to worry about. If by chance you get hard while he's doing his thing, I could probably safely guarantee you would not be the first he's had that happen with.
One thing that might help is to let him know your nervous, so he can keep that in mind. Explain your confidentiality concerns and let him put your mind at ease.

Wow, I'm starting to think my doctor may be more into the medical book's procedures more than others... so a doc has never examined your testicles even when you were "developing"?
I am Canadian and I am starting to think the health plan up here may be a bit different or at least the guildines are.

I've talked to other Americans too, none of them have ever had this done... so I originally thought it was just them, but now their is a pattern.

I don’t give a damn as to how many posts you’ve made, but I can clearly tell that most of them were vindictive and stubborn. I don't know whether the exams I have had were similar to yours, but I've never had a physical without a male part exam, complete with the "turn your head and cough".
If you are uncircumcised, I think it's great that your doc would check to see if it works properly.
I'd tend to think that most docs don't/won't do that unless you have specifically noted that you have a concern there.

The turn your head and cough is to check for hernia. Just had that done last week. A careful rolling of the testicle to check it for lumps is important, since the most frequent time of life for cancer there is teens and 20's. I wrote elsewhere on here years ago about getting an ultrasound of my scrotum because of a place that turned out to be a calcium deposit.
When I was in 1st grade and 6th grade (1960's and 70's) there was a more thorough exam of the parts. Not abusive, but probably some study about variations. Retracted the foreskin, gripped the head and one pull to see length. One squeeze of the shaft, then wrote something down. The first grade time also gently squeezed each testicle asking if it hurt at all, and if so, to point to where.
