Hi there is a friend of mine at a place called hme start who i work with who has a 6 yr old son with adhd and i was woundering if anyone had any info on it? info about how to cope what can help and the causes of it thanks

the standard line treatments (medication/therapy for behavioral strategies) are still the most effective treatment. As for medications there are many more available nowadays. There is a stimulant free Strattera, there is better time release ritalin, etc.

her son is on 10mg of rialin hes only six so they cant give him much i just thought id see if anyone on here had anyother ideas about it. I mean its good to ask just incase there is anyone on here that knows of anything else

ill e-mail here i dont actully think she has thought of that its a good idea the meds do work he was really not doing well at school then the other we he came home with a pupil of the week bag she was really chuffed(pleased) about it.

you should really check out www.webmd.com they have a VERY large and credible database to all kinds of diseases. talking to a school counselor might do some good too.
